Each spring, the Spotsylvania Education Foundation (SEF) organizes the Race for Education 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk. This family-friendly event raises funds to enhance the quality and impact of student learning experiences in Spotsylvania County Public Schools (SCPS) through the Foundation. In 2022, participants were able to complete the 5th Annual Race for Education in person at Massaponax High School or virtually at a location of their choosing.
One of the highlights of the race is naming the School Challenge Winners. Participants select an SCPC School team when they register. One school at each level with the largest number of participants will host the School Challenge Trophy for the next year and receive a $300 award. This year’s winners were:
